Purchase a home from now until December 1st and get an $8000 tax credit ON TOP OF what you will receive in 2009.  To generally qualify, you must have not owned a home in the past two years. The second is that California will give another $10,000 if you buy a newly constructed home.

Believe it or not, stated income loans are back and can be obtained with a 680 fico score and 20% down.

There is more to life than FHA which requires a decent fico score now and 3.5% down. I can arrange a conventional loan with 5% down and 680 fico.  These overall have less restrictions thn FHA and are preferred by sellers as they can close faster than the 45 days with an FHA loan.
